Returns & Exchanges
To initiate a return or exchange, please email us at info@atasteofafrica.net.
Damaged Packages or Incorrect Items
If your package is damaged in transit or if you receive an incorrect item, contact us within 7 days of receipt so we can assist you promptly.
For Damaged Packages:
- Email us at info@atasteofafrica.net to report the issue and begin a shipping insurance claim and/or replacement (where applicable).
- Include a photo of the damage, including any damage to the shipping box.
For Incorrect Items:
- Notify us within 7 days of receipt by contacting us at info@atasteofafrica.net. We will work with you to send the correct item.
For both damaged packages and incorrect items, we will provide you with a return shipping label once we receive your request.
Exchanges and Returns
Eligibility:
- Items can be exchanged or returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unused, undamaged, and in the same condition as when received. Items must also be in their original packaging.
How to Arrange an Exchange or Return:
- Email us at info@atasteofafrica.net to arrange your exchange or return.
- Once we receive the returned items:
- For Exchanges: We will ship the replacement items or issue an equal-value gift card as agreed via email. Please note, shipping costs for the new items will be your responsibility.
- For Returns: We will inspect the item and notify you via email of approval or rejection. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
Shipping Costs:
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Oversized Items:
- Returns are not accepted for oversized items shipped on pallets due to high shipping costs.
Third-Party Purchases:
- Refunds or exchanges apply only to purchases made directly through A Taste Of Africa. If purchased elsewhere, please contact the retailer for assistance.
Notice of Handmade Variation
Each art piece from A Taste Of Africa is handmade by skilled African artisans, making every item unique. Slight variations in color, pattern, or design are natural and not considered valid reasons for returns or exchanges. Thank you for understanding. Learn more in our Handmade Disclaimer.
COVID-19 Update
To protect our employees and customers, we are not accepting returns or exchanges on the following items until further notice:
- Skincare, haircare, body care products
- Scents, herbs, face masks, and jewelry
This policy is consistent across our stores and competitors. Once these products leave our facility, they cannot be returned or refunded.
Final Sale Items
Only regular-priced items are eligible for refunds. Sale items are final sale and cannot be refunded.
Shipping Insurance
To protect your order, we strongly recommend opting for shipping insurance at checkout. This option is pre-selected for your convenience.
Benefits of Shipping Insurance:
- Coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
- "Lost" is defined as no tracking updates for more than 7 days.
