It has been carved out of Ebony hardwood and has images of African Safari Animals carved on the outside of the wooden bowl. This wooden bowl is smoothly polished on the inside and set in the natural dark color of ebony. Ebony wood is a very hardwood that makes for excellent carving and is one of the more expensive woods in Africa. The bowl is solid and heavy and carved to the highest of standards. The bowl is intended for decorative use only, not for food service.
