Refund policy

Return Policy/COVID-19 Update

In order to protect our employees and our customers from any additional risk, we have made the decision to change portions of our merchandise return policy.

We will not be accepting returns of any Skincare, Haircare, Other Body Care products, Scents, Herbs, Face Masks, and Jewelry until further notice.  

This policy is consistent at all our stores, as well as with all our competitors. Once any of the products listed above have left our warehouse, we cannot accept them back and issue a refund.                       _______________________________________________________________

Items can be exchanged within 30 days of receiving your order as long as the items are in the same condition you received them in.

We do not pay for the cost of return shipping or for the cost of shipping the new items. Please email us at info@atasteofafrica.net to arrange your exchange. Once the returned items are received, we will ship the new items.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, undamaged, and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Note: Our most common reason for an exchange is that a basket is too large, so please double-check the measurements for your space before ordering.

Lost packages are not our responsibility once they leave our warehouse. If you live in a high theft/urban area, please purchase Signature Confirmation.

If your package is damaged in transit, contact us. Please include photos of the damage including all sides of the packaging and all contents inside.

    Refunds (if applicable)
    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.


    If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

    Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
    If you have not received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
    Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

    Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you have done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at info@atasteofafrica.net.

    Sale items (if applicable)
    Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

    Gifts
    If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

    If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
