These African salt and pepper shakers were handcrafted in Mozambique, Southern Africa out of animal bone and Ironwood. The artisan used scrimshaw style sketching to carve animals into the bone on both shakers with African vegetation in the background. African animal bone has become a very useful medium in craft making and is used in many African cooking utensils. A true African handcrafted work of art.
