About Us

A Taste Of Africa is a family-owned business with deep roots in Africa, dedicated to bringing the beauty and craftsmanship of African culture to the world. Founded on a belief in the limitless creativity of African artisans, our mission is to offer stylish, meaningful, and ecologically responsible home décor, gifts, and accessories crafted by talented artisans across the continent.

We specialize in handcrafted African art and clothing, offering a curated collection of unique sculptures, jewelry, musical instruments, and more , sourced from various regions across Africa. Our selection includes the world-renowned Shona stone sculptures from Zimbabwe, along with soapstone and wooden sculptures from countries such as Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Senegal.

Each piece we offer is one-of-a-kind hand-crafted by skilled artisans who draw on centuries of tradition. These products make meaningful and special gifts for any occasion, and we cater to a wide range of budgets. At A Taste Of Africa, we create a connection between African artists and global art lovers, offering more than just products—it’s a cultural experience.

We proudly source our Shona stone sculptures directly from the artists in Zimbabwe, working with a small family-run supplier in Harare who has supported these artisans for over 15 years. By shopping with us, you contribute to providing a stable income for these talented artists, many of whom face significant economic challenges. Our commitment to Fair Trade practices ensures that the artists receive full compensation, helping them support their families and communities.

As a 100% minority-owned business, we are deeply committed to giving back, both to our African partners and to our local community. We participate in a variety of community-focused initiatives and treat our customers like extended family.

When you shop at A Taste Of Africa, you're not just purchasing art—you’re supporting a network of artisans and helping preserve the rich heritage of African craftsmanship.
